PureSport Drinks

As we go through training cycles and intense workouts, often times I am asked what my swimmers are drinking or how they are recovering after workouts.  I tell people that during the day, my athletes are instructed to drink lots of water (with little to no variation).  During workouts, they are to have a sports drink of some sort, and then follow that up quickly with a good recovery meal 20-30 minutes after they finish.  

Often times, the athletes don't get to eat inside that window...or just eat the wrong foods.  And then parents usually ask, so which "sports drink" are they to use while working out?  Due to the success and accomplishments of our team, we have been able to form an agreement with PureSport that both benefits our swimmers and team.  We are going to recommend that our athletes use the PureSport Workout drink during training.  For all athletes that have reached puberty, we encourage considering the PureSport recovery drink to optimize the recovery process and timing.
